Two of our 2025 Data Science for Social Good (DSSG) fellows—Amy Cao and Kelly Zhu—have just returned from a two-week visit to the University of Hong Kong (HKU).
This marks the first collaboration and exchange with a university outside North America in the nine-year history of the DSSG program, and we are proud to be fostering meaningful international partnerships.
During their visit, the fellows had the valuable opportunity to engage with HKU students and faculty members. We are sincerely grateful for the warm welcome and generous support extended to them throughout their stay.
While in Hong Kong, they continued their work on a data science project focused on museum datasets, aimed at enhancing the visitor experience through data-driven insights.
Our heartfelt thanks to the HKU team for making this experience possible. We look forward to welcoming them to UBC this August.
