A paper co-authored by Ali Seyfi, Master’s student in the Department of Computer Science, Dr. Jean-Francois Rajotte, DSI Resident Data Scientist, and Dr. Raymond Ng, DSI Scientific Director, was accepted to the Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS), a prestigious machine learning and computational neuroscience conference. The research team has developed an algorithm to generate synthetic multivariate time series from a common origin. This project was focused on medical applications where the common origin is a patient and the team believes this is only the first step to further interesting applications.
This year, the conference will take place at the end of November in New Orleans and virtually, where the team will be presenting their paper.
